CrankCookieAward 2009 - National Dolce Vita D.: Michael Schwarz / C.: Andrea Knoblauch, Wolfgang Nötzel / 12 min. / Germany 08 / Documentary Synopsis: DOLCE VITA- an experimental portrait of Andrea and Wolfgang, who conduct a swinger-club together. Jury's statement: The winner in the category “national” leads us to a place, which most of us probably haven´t seen from the inside yet. In the sensitive portrait of the Swinger-Club owners Andrea and Wolfgang, among other things, we get to know that next to realizing one´s secret and sexual fantasies it might also be important if and what one got to eat before. The producer even achieves to illustrate the banalities of a Swinger-Club owner, without making the protagonists look like fools. His short shows a keen sense of small details and creates intimacy without being voyeuristic.
CrankCookieAward 2009 - International Kärleksbarn - Love Child D.: Daniel Wirtberg / C.: Tindra Nordgren, Magnus Krepper / 6 min. / Sweden 08 / feature film Synopsis: The small girl was looking forward to her new pet. However, the child experiences the little kitty more and more as a rival within her own family, since the parent´s attention only belongs to the little cat. Jury's statement: The world of a small girl breaks down when the new and cute pet moves in with her family and the entire attention of her parents goes to the new cat. The film assures of itself by the contrast of a certain aestheticism usual for commercials and odd tragedy. This kind of humor, that we might call as cross as two sticks, is supported by the acting talent of the little protagonist.

Clint D.: Philipp Scholz / C.: Ole Jacobsen, Nadine Vasta / 3. min. / Germany 08 / feature film Synopsis: Clint and Mia are in love. However there´s a disruptive factor, which puts their relationship in an uncertain position. Audience's statement: We could not stop clapping and jeering. |
